Y1:D152 – As the clock counted down you could feel the anticipation in the air. 10…9…8…7…6…5…4…3…2…1…annnd…. Nothing happened. Ground computers reported an ID10T error at launch caused by a failure in the ignition of the 1st stage.

Analysts pouring over the telemetry readings believe that the failure occurred somewhere in the probe’s PEBKAC systems. As a result, the entire craft will have to be returned to the VAB, where the probe will be de-mated from the booster and repairs made.

It is expected that this will result in at least a 3 week delay in the launch.
