Y1:D35 – Our latest probe, Voyager I, arrived in orbit today at 4:36 and began immediately transmitting data. Tho it’s on board batteries will limit it’s useful life span the data provided from it’s 182km x 1,218km orbit will further our understanding of the environment beyond our atmosphere.
As radiation and temperature levels are being beamed back to KSC through the DSN, we look forward to tomorrows launch of Venture 4 and it’s Münar flyby.
Previously published version incorrectly identified the probe as Voyager 1 rather then Voyager I
